A Primer to Understanding Social Networking
Often when I’m talking with someone, and trying to explain how social networks help expand the job prospecting field, I find they just don’t see the full picture. It’s tough to grasp at first. “Why should I waste my time fiddling around on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and a bunch of other websites,” they think.
The simple explanation is that these outlets provide new ways to engage with people on all sorts of levels, and if used correctly, add a great layer of instant communication.
